Gertrude Balboa was the head of the company that manufactured the figurines won in the Prettiest Pretty Princess beauty pageant.

Season 1[]

Earl went to see Gertrude Balboa about purchasing one of the figurines, but she explained that it was not possible, as the only way to get one was to win one in the mother-daughter beauty pageant. Earl explained that he wanted to buy one for his ex-wife Joy Darville, spurring Gertrude to remember Joy when she won the figure as a child in 1981. However, she only won it once as the year after Shelly Stoker and her mother began to enter, and they won every year after that. Earl thanked her, and left ("Broke Joy's Fancy Figurine")
